If you are a meticulous note taker then you will benefit from using OneNote for tracking your day to day notes...

OneNote is a great tool that can help you to organise a single Notebook containing links to other files, reminders, lists and information, all stored in the same place. If you want to become more organised then this application is for you. Download the App and synchronise it to your Smart Phone, it allows you to store anything from a shopping list to an embedded Excel spreadsheet plus stacks more.  Take screen clippings from anywhere using this nifty tool.

Let us create a OneNote training course designed for your needs. Our popular half day workshops will provide you with a firm grounding on how to utilise this program effectively.

We deliver on site computer training courses throughout the UK including Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Manchester, Nottinghamshire, Sheffield and all surrounding areas.

8 Reasons you should take Notes with OneNote

  • You probably already have OneNote - it comes as standard with the later Office suites so utilise it!
  • You can create multiple notebooks, each one with an array of sections. And each section can have its own subsections, or tabs. You can have a book for personal notes, work notes and so on.
  • It is portable -  you can store your notebooks in the cloud so they're accessible from your mobile or tablet. Written shopping lists are a thing of the past!
  • It has built in OCR - This is one of the most underrated features in OneNote. Paste an image into a OneNote document and then choose Copy Text from Picture. You'll instantly get a plain text version of the text in the image that you can paste into OneNote or elsewhere.
  • You can make digital to-do lists. Check out the Tags section in the ribbon. You can tag any text with a wide variety of graphical symbols. One of the most useful of these tags is To Do, which gives you checkable tickboxes. Not only can you use these as an actual to do list, but you can later search for to do entries, and optionally choose to only look for items that are completed or uncompleted. They even link to Outlook.
  • Built in Screen Clipping Tool. This great little tool allows you to quickly capture snapshots from any window.
  • Work collaboratively. Share notes with others, take notes in meetings, connect with Outlook.
  • Search Capabilities - it is so easy to search your notebooks for information.
